Culture at Philip Morris Australia

9.2
9.2 rating for Culture, based on 6 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I like my team and the nice things we do for each other mean a lot to me. I think without the friends I have in the office, my work would feel less fulfilling. I like that as long as your work is done, you can finish a little bit early on Fridays in my team. Sometimes there are clashes in my team due to personality types and disagreements, but people are usually respectful and understanding of different opinions.

Workplace culture is good, fairly less hierarchical. Many people have been with the company for a long time, so sometimes we're stuck with processes / can't easily take in innovative ways of working in place. However, people love socialising, shares lot about themselves, etc.

Even though I may be part of a certain department, cross functional work occurs in spades at Philip Morris. I have gotten the opportunity to work with people from all parts of the business, in different places around Australia and the world. We have a culture of hard work, but also of working together to achieve our goals. I have thoroughly enjoyed working within my team and with stakeholders throughout the wider business on projects that make a real impact. I have made some great friends and enjoy coming into the office to see everyone. Philip Morris offers many opportunities to meet people from all walks of life and build connections that will help me for the rest of my career.

The workplace culture is the core of why so many employees have stayed with the business for so many years. It is a large consideration when hiring to ensure that we maintain this positive culture. As we are a small office, everyone speaks and works with everyone, no matter their rank. We strongly encourage this to continue, as not only does this foster a positive working environment, but also strengthens our position as a company where everyone is across projects and operations.
