Internship Experience by Allysa of Saint Michael’s College of Laguna

My internship experience at Gardenia helped boost my self-confidence by allowing me to work independently while also collaborating with my supervisors and colleagues. At first, I was unsure of how to handle certain tasks, but as I gained experience, I became more confident in completing purchase orders, managing supplier information, and ensuring accurate documentation. I learned the importance of accuracy, time management, and problem-solving in a professional setting. Through hands-on tasks and guidance from my mentors, I became more comfortable working in a structured office environment. This experience has prepared me for future career opportunities, giving me the confidence to take on new challenges.

What I love the most about my internship at Gardenia is the opportunity to apply what I have learned in school to real-world tasks. I enjoyed working with the Purchasing Department, especially handling purchase orders, organizing files, and verifying supplier documents. Although some tasks were repetitive, I found satisfaction in ensuring that the procurement process ran smoothly. The moments that showed me I was doing the right thing were when I completed tasks that contributed to the team’s efficiency and accuracy. Seeing my work help maintain organized records and assist in supplier coordination made me feel like I was truly contributing to the company.
