The Role

As a Systems and Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in handling various automation projects of the Department. You will also be responsible for preparation and submission of timely and accurate reports to regulatory agencies, as well as various management reports. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes reconciliation reports on cash, management reports either manually or from bi tool to be submitted to management, internal or external auditors/regulators.
  • Records and monitors payments of trust fees of the products not accrued by the System. (i.e. MTI, Facility Agency, and Custodianship).
  • Prepares/generates accurate and timely reports and schedules to regulatory agencies.
  • Assists  Section Head in the preparation of management reports such as MPR and income sharing reports.
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of reports to Management and regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate with the system vendor or ITG the errors/issues/enhancements on the automated systems used.
  • Analyze and suggest possible solutions to discrepancies in data.  
  • Able to suggest and implement process improvements that will improve efficiency.
  • Prepares various documentary requirements needed for the completion and implementation of the Trust project.
  • Performs UAT in the various automation projects of the Trust Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
  • Knowledge of the banking industry and familiarization with regulatory reporting.
  • Up-to-date on current BIR, BSP, SEC/IC, and PFRS regulations 
  • Able to multitask, attentive to details, and delivers accurate reports on time.

Pros

Cons

    • Some leaders are still too traditional.

    • The company should focus on their salary pay. For me, it's very low.

    • It's slow and really not discussed often - something to improve to keep people happy.

    • Complex processes can be simplified. Benefits can be improved.

    • There is nothing too negative! If I had to answer, it would be that SBC is only present locally.
