The expanded career progression system for public school teachers is hereby established to promote professional development and career advancement among public school teachers and define the career lines of teachers within the public school system, specifically in the elementary and secondary levels, including the Senior High School.
The total pay for a Teacher is PHP 29,165.00 along with other benefits:
The proposed career progression system aims to create more opportunities for promotion while upholding its commitment to quality learning as it anchors teachers’ professional growth and advancement on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) as a framework for teacher quality.
Once approved as policy, the department will create the teaching positions Teacher III, IV, V, VI, VII, and Master Teacher V and will institutionalize a merit-based promotion anchored on the PPST. Through the scheme, the teaching career line will be aligned with the four stages of teaching proficiency where Teacher I-III will be in Career Stage I (Beginning Stage); Teacher IV-VII Career Stage II (Proficient); Master Teacher I-II Career Stage III (Highly Proficient); and Master Teacher III-V Career Stage IV (Distinguished).
Previous trainees described the workplace as productive with friendly colleagues. Most insiders believe that fresh grads can handle the workload contributing to a healthy work-life balance. The work schedule is another factor for striking a good balance between a person’s work and personal life. Government employees usually work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Discrimination prohibited workers not be discriminated against with regard to gender, civil status, creed, religious or political beliefs and ethnic groupings in the exercise of his/her profession. The legacy of the Bureau is, in many ways, the work of successive generations of revenuers who have made the selfless decision to dedicate their talents and skills to the service of the country. As such, the BIR Chronicles will, in time, progress to reflect the accomplishments of the men and women who will follow in their footsteps on the continuing journey of public service.
