Your Role

• Evaluates accuracy and adequacy of information and documents provided by applicants.
• Determines additional information or documents needed to appropriately underwrite the applicant's risk and immediately coordinates additional requirements for soliciting Financial Advisors or Agents.
• Accurately underwrites insurance applications and assesses the risk presented based on the company's underwriting guidelines.
• Provide underwriting decision - Approved, Declined, Postponed (up to the level of authority provided).
• Updates underwriting worksheet and system accordingly by indicating underwriting decision or application status including "Withdrawn/Cancelled".
• Prepares appropriate write-up and refers cases beyond his/her authority to the medical consultant and/or Underwriting Committee.

Training, Development, and Rotation

BDO provides a level of training for partners and staff as is necessary to ensure the highest quality of work for clients. They receive training in specific industries across territories to gain awareness and updates on international best practices, tax, business advisory, and corporate secretarial services.

BDO supports its staff in continuous learning and they are encouraged to attend CPE programs to help them grow in whatever way best suits their individual needs, preferences, and learning styles.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or any medical-related course.
• Experience in life insurance underwriting, an advantage.
• Must be keen on details and can work in a fast-paced environment.
• With good oral and written communication skills.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati or Ortigas.
